Nancy Lee Cleary

Nancy Cleary, age 81, of Dixon passed away Friday, April 21, 2017 surrounded by family at Dixon Health Care Center. She will be remembered lovingly & she will be extremely missed by many. She was born August 10, 1935 in Washington, D.C. the daughter of George and Julia (Gabany) Healy. Nancy was a loving mother to her eleven children, eighteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and a caregiver to all she knew. Nancy married John "Jack" Cleary on April 7, 1953 at St. Patrick's Church in Dixon. Nancy worked as a waitress at various local restaurants for many years. She and her husband were owners of Jack & Nancy's Shamrock for 14 years. After her retirement she devoted her time to her granchildren and church. Nancy was a devoted member of St. Patrick's Church in Dixon. She was an incredible baker that shared her talent with her community. Nancy was a lifelong Cubs fan that was proud to "Fly the W." Nancy was proud of her Irish heritage, supported the military, and Catholic charities. She was preceded in death by her husband on January 2, 2005, her parents, sister-in-law MaryJean Dearborn, son-in-law Tim Scott, and father and mother-in-law Vernon and Helen Cleary. She is survived by seven sons Mike (LouAnn) Cleary of Amarillo, TX; Shawn (Julie) Cleary of Sioux Falls, SD; Daniel (Kimberley) Cleary of Carrollton, TX; Pat (Margie Newburgh) Cleary of Sterling, IL; Doug (Mindy) Cleary, Tom (Mary) Cleary, and Terry (Deb) Cleary all of Dixon; four daughters Debbie (Dean) Patterson of Clarksville, TN; Patty Scott; Theresa (Lenny Roux) Reuter, and Colleen (Nate) Reglin all of Dixon; two brothers Pat Healy of Cherry Valley, IL; Jerry Healy of Stillman Valley, IL; one sister Merikay (Jeris) Cox of Tierra Verde, FL; eighteen grandchildren Shannon Cleary, Erik (Christy) Youngren, Ryley Cleary, Jessica Patterson, Nolan (Grace) Cleary, Corbin (Molly) Cleary, Brandon Reuter, Brent Reuter, Marcus (Tricia) Cleary, Megan Cleary, Dakota Geesey, Chelsi (Justin Hey) Cleary, Aaron Hubbell, Evan Cleary, Leichan (Wes) Stoerger, Tess Cleary, Trevor Mixen, Vanessa Reglin; ten great granchildren Chloe, Brayden , Dylan, Brooke, Carter, Addyson, Grace, Norah, Evelyn, Carter; and two nephews Kyle Cox and Bryan Cox. Mass of Christian Burial wil be held Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 10:30 am at St. Patrick's Church in Dixon, Father Bernard Sehr officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 3:00-8:00 pm at the Holloway Center with Rosary at 7:00 pm, Father Bob Jones officiating.
