Jodi L. Petre

The Sagmoe family thanks all the friends who supported and enhanced Jodi’s life over these many years. Jodi Lynn Petre was a beautiful woman who overcame undeserved obstacles and difficult battles on her journey thru life. She left this world all too suddenly on May 17, 2024 she was 63 years young. Jodi was a Waukesha WI native but made Dixon her adopted home. In May 2022 she moved to Dixon with her devoted and loving partner John Sagmoe Jr. They enjoyed a long life together filled with love, hope and family for 22 years. Here’s a wonderful story, after moving in together Jodi and John unpacked and came across their first Bibles turned the pages and low an behold, they received them on the same date, October 5, 1969. Clearly love was destined to be! Jodi graduated from Waukesha North High School in 1979 then decided to join friends for a move to Arizona for a little fun and adventure. After returning to Waukesha she embarked on careers as an optician, Travel Agent, Waitress, Real Estate Agent and Mom. The simplest pleasures brought great joy to Jodi. Spending time outside listening to and identifying birds, planting flowers, gardening, boating, fishing and watching wildlife along the Rock River. She also loved to travel (except for the flights) Florida and Eagle River were favorites. She was a wonderful singer, loved music (loud), concerts, laughing, talking politics, reality and crime TV, Words with Friends, Jeopardy, Kelly and Mark, the View and her beloved Packers, Brewers, Badgers and Bucks. Plus the “Best dog I ever had, Wally.” Rest in Peace Jodi, remember you were always deserving and loved, your beauty and personality were contagious to everyone you met. I will love you forever and ever Amen, Johnny! Jodi was preceded in death by her father Joseph Klememeic, almost father-in-law John Sagmoe Sr. She is survived by four grandchildren Donald, Joseph, Priscella and Calum; a daughter, Jessi; a son, Tyler; mother, Betty Klemeneic –Hildebrand; nearly mother-in-law, Verna Sagmoe; sisters, Kim, Amy and Sherry; all but sister-in law, Terri; nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws and all those who loved her. Condolences may be sent to the Jones Funeral Home and the Sagmoe family.
