James Henry Weitzel Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

James H. Weitzel age 84 of Dixon died Friday June 10, 2022 at Briar Place Nursing Center in Indian Head Park, IL. He was born Dec. 9, 1937 in Dixon the son of John and Anna (Feltes) Weitzel. Jim had owned and operated Omega Building Services prior to his retirement. He was a veteran of the Air Force from 1956 to 1960. He was a member of St Patrick Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and Dixon Country Club. Jim married Mary C. "Molly" Tague on Nov. 11, 1961 in Norristown, PA. He is survived by his wife Molly, brother William (Dixie) Weitzel of Dixon, sister Julia (Herman) Johnson of Harmon, sisters in law Sue Weitzel of Dixon, Sister Shelia Tague Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Reading, PA and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Nancy Jo Munson, Norma Jean Anderson, Mary JoAnne Munson and brothers Joe, Larry, and John Weitzel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday June 21, 10:30 AM at St Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon. Burial of Cremains will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon with military honors. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the church. Memorials have been established to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, St. Mary School in Dixon, Gianna's House.
