Edna Mae Good

Edna M Good age 99 of Amboy died on Friday April 15, 2022 at Prairie Crossing Living and Rehab in Shabbona, IL. She was born on Nov. 14, 1922 in Sac City, Iowa the daughter of Luther Weldon and Mabel Elizabeth (Chase) Francis. Edna worked for the Freeman Shoe Company from 1949 to 1952, and KSB Hospital before retiring in 1972. She also spent time waitressing in Dixon at the Roaring Twenties Café. Edna was a member of the Zion Methodist Church in Mendota, Amboy Legion Auxiliary, and VFW Auxiliary in Mendota. She enjoyed get togethers for Sunday dinners with family, crocheting, and especially baking her pies. She married Jordan D. Good on May 11, 1968 in Tonica, IL. He preceded her in death on Aug. 25, 2011. Edna is also preceded in death by her daughter Marda Shane, grandsons David Johnson, Timothy Willis and siblings George Francis and Priscilla Bresnahan. She is survived by her children Eleanor Jane Brown of Jefferson IA, Lynn (Robert) Appleman of Sterling, Merle Good of Cleveland TX, Lonnie Good of Lee Center, Gayl Good Dunseth of Harvard, 13 grandchildren Kim, Bobby, Kirk, David, Becky, Scott, Stacey, Jason, Kim, Misty, Mandy, Eric, Nick, and many great and great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be on Friday April 22, 2022 starting at 11:00 am at the Prairie Repose Cemetery Chapel in Amboy, IL. Burial will follow at the graveside within Prairie Repose Cemetery in Amboy, IL. Arrangements by the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy.
