Alice J Vaile 83 of Dixon died Thursday July 12, 2018 at Franklin Grove Living and Rehab. She was born May 17, 1935 in Dixon the daughter of Harry and Elsie (Brunnenmeyer) Reid. Alice was a deputy clerk at the Lee County Clerk's office prior to her retirement. She was a member of the KSB Hospital Auxiliary volunteering over 5000 hours to the hospital. She was also a member of the Lee County Genealogical Society and the Red Hats. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Ann Vaile, son Denny Vaile II, step son Michael Vaile, brother Jack Freeburg, brothers in law Sam Klamen and Daniel Cibu, and sister in law Lorrine Freeburg. Alice is survived by one daughter Donna (Mark) Smith of Lee Center, step daughter Catherine Scott of San Diego, CA, eight grandchildren, Kelsie Vaile, Matthew Smith, Elyse (Steve) Nave, Shannon Smith, Tiffany (Deon) Clevenger, Tasha (Andy) Meyer, Peter Scott and Caitlyn Mahannah, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. She is also survived by one brother Bill (Jan) Freeburg of California, three sisters Bonnie Klamen and Marilyn Cibu both of Dixon and Sandra (Walt) Houck of Roscoe, IL. Funeral services will be on Tuesday July 17, 2018 beginning with a 10:00 AM prayer service in the Jones Funeral Home followed by a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon. Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with the Rosary at 7:30 PM at the funeral home. A memorial has been established
