Eileen Leffelman

Eileen Leffelman, 80, of Dixon, IL passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Serenity Hospice and Home, in Oregon, IL with family by her side. Eileen was born on January 27, 1946, in Dixon, IL, the daughter of William and Marie (Sharkey) McCoy. She married Ronald “Ron” Leffelman on January 23, 1965, in Walton, IL. Eileen loved flowers and reading a good book, but family was the true center of her life. She cherished her children and grandchildren, and her greatest joy was her three great‑grandsons—affectionately known as “my boys”—along with visits from them and the companionship of Tommy, her, and Ron’s beloved dog. Eileen is lovingly survived by her two children Ronette (Bob) Moore/Rogers, Oregon, IL and Jeff Leffelman, Amboy, IL. Her two granddaughters, Jenee (Jacob) Grove, Dixon, IL and Haley (Riley) Stephens, Sanger TX and her four great grandsons, Christian Grove, Emmitt Grove, Carson Grove and soon to arrive Baby Stephens. Eileen is survived by her siblings, with whom she shared a lifetime of amazing memories, Don (Karen) McCoy, Dixon, IL, Theresa Wilson, Sublette, IL, Regina McCoy, Van Orin, IL, Sharon McCoy, TN, Leo (Jane) McCoy, Amboy, IL, Monica (Tom) Bulfer, Amboy, IL, Dean (Paula) McCoy, Amboy, IL, Hugh (Susan) McCoy, Sublette, IL, Doug (Brenda) McCoy, Amboy, IL, sisters-in-law Velma Quest, Sublette, IL and Doris Latta, Amboy, IL and many nieces and nephews. Eileen is preceded in death by her parents, Willliam and Marie McCoy, parents-in-law, Francis and Clara Leffelman, Sister Jane Henley, Brothers, William “Will” McCoy, Dan McCoy, Dennis (Cindy) McCoy, brother/sister-in-law Floyd Wilson, Robert Leffelman, Melvin (Marge & Sue) Leffelman, Elaine (Don) Henkel, Joe Quest, Eugene (Joanne) Leffelman, John Latta. Funeral services will be on Tuesday April 7, 2026 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Maytown at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be on Monday April 6, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy with a saying of the Rosary at 7:00 PM. Eileen will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, unconditional faith in god, her gentle strength, and the way she made everyone feel welcome and cared for. Her presence will be forever missed, but her love will continue to live on through those she held so deeply. A memorial has been established to Serentiy Hospice and Home in Oregon.
